I'm trying to set up my PTR records with my ISP... I have a /4 subnet and I want to have some of my records CNAMEd, 'cause I don't know if - and how - I will use them. So the records I sent to my ISP look like this: > 1 IN PTR something. > 2 IN CNAME 2.something. And now I need a > 2 IN PTR smtp.something. in my ldapdns... will this: > dc=2,dc=something,dc=dns > dc: 2 > objectclass: top > objectclass: dnsrecord > objectclass: dcObject > nsrecord: @ > cnamerecord: smtp.something. work? It does not seem to respond to a PTR request :| I'm not really sure that it should? Cheers, Saviq |
