okay boys and girls, you can now give it a shot. http://ldapdns.sourceforge.net/ is where ldapdns3 will reside. that page will have the last few changes made by CVS, jump-points to all the mailing lists, and any news I post via source forge. If someone were to write documentation, then it would also show up here. If someone were to release something (as I will at some point), then it will show up here :) The INSTALL (included in the CVS) _should_ give you enough to bootstrap your ldapdns installation. Remember that the "new way" of doing things involves having a directory with your "root" having an associatedDomain object. hopefully that covers everything. If I forgot anything, take it up on the ldapdns-devel list, or direct to me. |

I've set up an account on sourceforge, and subscribed everyone to the ldapdns-announce list. If you wanted to unsubscribe during my blackout, it's safe to do it now using the normal sourceforge list services (if you need help with this, just reply direct) I'm doing this because it's simply too much work for me to do the things that I want to do that make publishing easier AND spend time on LDAPDNS- and I'm rather certain which one you guys would prefer :) Anyway, there are two other mailing lists of worth; ldapdns-users and ldapdns-devel. These are for regular use. Please subscribe to whichever you feel you belong using again, the normal sourceforge way. This list (ldapdns-announce) will only accept posts from me [provided I did it right], but if you reply to to the list, I should see it anyway, so there shouldn't be any harm. http://sourceforge.net/projects/ldapdns/ http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=81534 I'll be posting my LDAPDNS 3 code to CVS likely later this evening (or early in the morning depending on a few different things). It can now to AXFR and TCP queries appear to work. I'll put a general announcement again when I post it. Regarding the move to SF.NET- I'll have a proper ldapdns-centric website there, but I want to use as much of SF as possible- including their documentation system. As a side note: I've noticed people are extremely nervous about projects without proper hideous logos or screen shots. Anyone feel like script-fu'ing a logo? :) |
