Hi Dirk, if you need very fast transfomations (particularly for 8bpp input), I recommend the IMDI routines from http://www.argyllcms.com/ On my Athlon XP 2600+ I could obtain approx. 14 Mpixel/s, for applying a precalculated 3D -> 3D device link, with 8bpp on the input side (for higher dimensions and 16bpp input, the speed of course decreases, but is still pretty good). The drawback is, it's not as easy to use as the LCMS API - you'll need to write quite some amount of glue code (but you can use the cctiff sources as example, and if speed really matters for you, it may be worth the effords).
