I'm from China. I found a problem with LCD_Smartie v5.4 and later in Chinese language displaying.
A Chinese characters are coded with two bytes that are greater than 0x80. LCD_Smartie seems not to be adapted to it.
eg, if a character code contains 0xb0 then lcd_smartie will transfer 0x20 instead of 0xb0 to the LCD and cause display error.
I wonder if it is a bug or just a common problem for ASCII coding softwares.

P.S. Is there any way than I can write LCD drivers myself? I'm not willing to submit a Feature Request.
