Hi,
I have read the request about this driver and maybe you could use the mediaportal code.
Mediaportal has this driver and is 100% functional and the code is GNU
The code is here: http://sources.team-mediaportal.com/websvn/listing.php?repname=MediaPortal&path=%2Ftrunk%2Fmediaportal%2FMiniDisplayLibrary%2F#_trunk_mediaportal_MiniDisplayLibrary_ (MiniDisplayLibrary/MiniDisplayPlugin/Drivers/DM140GINK.cs)
Is it possible to use it?
Thanks
Unfortunately the code is written in a language (C#) too different to directly port to traditional C. Without having a display to test with writing a driver is likely a waste of time.

I have found this post http://forums.lcdsmartie.org/viewtopic.php?t=1765&highlight=futaba and on the third post there is a link with the drivers in C and are free software. Only are necessary button.c, led.h, led.c and libvfd.h.
And here http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.sysutils.lcdproc/11792 ther is an attachment file with the same files, you have to rename the file to zip,
Is it possible now? If you need a display, I can test it.
