I hooked up my HD44780 20x4 display with winamp scheme.
When the server is started ( /usr/local/sbin/LCDd -
c /etc/LCDd.conf & ) I see for a breef moment: (initialisation
text?!?)

HD44780 20x4
Lpt 0x378

Afther that, the display produces garbled text.
This text stays within 16x2 lines!

Starting a client ( /usr/local/bin/lcdproc C M X & ) gives the same:
more garbled text within the 16x2 lines.

I can see the initialisation text only when I start two servers
(second produces error initialising :
Could not bind to port 13666
sock_create_server: Error creating socket
Error opening socket
Critical error: main.c:238, abort
... As it should...
But hey: Now my display produces readable text :-\

Whats messed up? My wiring, lpt port, server ?!?!?!?!
HELP!
