Nobody/Anonymous - 2004-05-04

I have a serial crystalfontz 634 on a 15 foot wire displaying songs in my car. Sometimes, when I toggle the baclklight on/off, all the text disappears! If I'm lucky, toggling the backlight on and off enough times can sometimes bring it back. The only other way to get it back is to unplug the serial connection and reconnect it or to restart the computer. More times than not, toggling the backlight just turns the backlight on and off on a blank screen. What's going on? is the wire too long?
