lpt hd44780 don't display songs

hello,
i have a little problem: the 4*20 display shows only the blocks in line 1 and 3. When Winamp plays and HD44780 (Windows NT) is selected on your plugin nothing happenes. I use Win2000 and on another computer Win Xp with Winamp 2.80 and for experiment 5.02. I installed the Port fix.
I tried the the LTP options in the bios ecp and epp.
Also i played with the Port IO and VHR Option and the Port. I got no positive result. :-( I'm very sad. The Onscreen Simulation works fine. From another website someone told me, when I see the blocks in line 1 and 3 the circuit (??) was build correct (by me). is that right or is that possible that there is a failure in the electric. I can see the entry DLPortIO in my Start menue, but how can I check that it works correctly?

Ich habe ein 4*16 Display und das gleiche Problem.
Die Balken habe ich auch, ds heist, das die Schaltung korrekt ist. Es wird nur nicht angesteuert. Versuche es mal mit dem Programm LCD-Smartie 5.1 oder 5.2, damit kann man das Display gut testen.
Wenn ich mich recht entsinne bedeuten die beiden schwarzen Balken nur das die entsprechende Spannung am Display anliegt. Also mu nicht zwingend die Schaltung richtig sein.

Probiere mal Folgendes:
Bau Dir eine DOS Bootdiskette und kopiere lcdprint.exe darauf: www.mbudde.de/mp3player/files
Der Aufruf geht wie folgt:
lcdprint.exe 378 20 4 test.txt
378 = LPT1
20 4 = Dein Display
test.txt = eine Textdatei mit z.B. Inhalt in 4 Zeilen mit beliebigem Text (max 20 Zeichen lang).
Wenn Du dann von der Bootdiskette startest und lcdprint aufrufst und es geht weit Du das die Verkabelung richtig ist.
