Scott Edwards 16x2 serial LCD display
(ILM-216 controller)
Im sorry if this is on the web somewhere, but Ive been searching around for quite a while with no luck.
Im trying to use WinAmp LCD to run my display through the parallel port. The site seems to indicate this display is supported, but the closest pin out diagram I could find was serial communication to a HD44780 using a shift register.
As I understand it, since the display takes serial data theres no need for a shift register and I should be able to connect the LCD pins (GND, IN, OUT) directly to the port. If this is the case I think I just need to know what data pins are used by the driver. Is that right? Or is there still a need for some fancy wiring between the two?
Thanks for your time, pretty excited to get this thing working 

The Scott Edwards LCDs are meant to be connected to a SERIAL port, not a parallel port.
