When I load winamp the first time (after starting the computer) the %v volume variable always indicates 0%. However both the 'wave' and 'master' sliders are above 50% in the windows sound mixer.
The only way I can get the volume to show and the volume bar to work properly is if I close winamp and load it up again a few times. The third start of winamp after system boot always displays the volume correctly. It is not very easy to restart winamp 3 times in the car with just a keypad!
Any ideas why this occurs? Or a fix so that it displays volume correctly first time?
I am running win98
Many thanks Howard
