The LCD output works fine (granted some of the custom characters were messed up, but i just modified the custom chars to look right).  but now everytime i click my "show/hide menu" key (/) it winamp crashes.  I've tried reassigning the command to different keys to no avail.  Same thing keeps happeneing. Any idears?

oh yeah, and the spectrum analyzer looks garbled on the LCD.  Looks fine in the simulation.  Wasn't this plugin originally designed for a MO LCD4041?

      Thanks!

ok looks like I'm answering my own posts, but that's ok...   check this out.

I reset the LCDplugin to the default values and restarted the computer, that seemed to fix my immediate problem, then gradually as i customized the output here's what I found:

I'm using the Matrix orbital LCD4041 and a standard PC keyboard.

Custom Character Keys are mixed up on the LCD screen, but not in the simulation. i.e.:

      %c1 displays as %c2
      %c2 displays as %c3
      $c3 displays as %c4
      $c4 displays as %c5
      etc..

%c8 doesn't appear to work at all.

when i try to modify these (by editing the "output variables" -%2 "Play status") and restart winamp, it crashed when i try to show/hide menu.

      weird huh?

I should mention that after i modify the %2 pay status variable (shifting the number), it displays on the LCD correctly. It only crashed when i try to show/hide the menu.

i experienced crashing of winamp if menu button pressed but:

use winamp 2.* and earliest version of albumlist available it works !!! menu function and albumlist selection work great !!!! despite the fact that they mention on the albumlist site that winamp 5 is required, not true !!
