Hi Magnus, > I think the particular display is controlled by pin number 6, all other connection are identical for each display This is correct. Pin 6 (ENABLE) controls to which display the actual data ist sent > In the moment I see the following configuration for pin number 6: > > Display 01 : parallel port pin 01 = STROBE > Display 02: parallel port pin 13 = SELECTED (?) This will not work, because SELECT is an INPUT pin and you need an OUTPUT signal... > Display 03: parallel port pin 17 = SELECT INPUT (?) > Display 04: parallel port pin ?? = There are four control pins available: STROBE, AUTOFD, INIT and SELECTIN. Which pin you use for which display makes no difference, you just have to specify the correct wiring. There's a good documentation for the different pins at the lcd4linux wiki, on the HD44780 display page. bye, Michael PS If you finish your "monster display", could you please provide some photos for the wiki? -- Michael Reinelt <re...@eu...> http://home.pages.at/reinelt GPG-Key 0xDF13BA50 ICQ #288386781 |
