I'm building a 256x64 graphic LCD, similar to PicoLCD, but building it for I2C support. In my system, I can't place a screen on the USB, but we have been using LCD4Linux over USB to the PicoLCD to do our testing. I'm basically at the point in my screen microcode where I am ready to implement the functions from the host over I2C, and I came across this document: http://ssl.bulix.org/projects/lcd4linux/wiki/driver_howto Is there a list of I2C commands that would be preferred such that I maintain broad compatibility? I'm effectively using the 256x64 pixel screen as an 8 line character LCD. I think it would make the most sense to fall under the category of graphic, vs text, but I know I'm ready to move forward with text mode now. Thanks, I would appreciate suggestions and/or guidance.
