I posted a patch to this list last September. Nearly a year ago. I didn't hear anything back at all, not even a 'no thank you'. That lack of engagement is quite demotivating. To suggest not to fork is fine (I agree), but if I have to manually add my own patch, technically it has forked. I'm all for simply leaving this project where it is, but for the team to be more responsive, and/or enable others to take action.
