[Lcd4linux-devel] getting rid of python dependency

Hi everybody,

I know that with all the work everybody put in to get python support 
working, I'm not going to make myself very appreciated in asking that - 
but how does one remove the dependency on python from lcd4linux? I 
didn't see a "--without-python" in the configure script, and the 
platform that I'm building lcd4linux for (LEAF Bering uClibc) will 
_never_ support Python (well, unless it tosses aside one of its major 
project goals - being compact enough to fit on a floppy).

Of course, I could patch all python support out of the autoconf files - 
but I guess that's not quite the way it should be.

Any ideas?
