It is, if you use "SSH shared keys", which I do.

There is. I used "mpack".

My script is up and running. You should get a mail. The script will run 
from cron every night at 23:45

You might run into problems if you miss one update....

Anyone else having such a lousy internet connection so he/she wants this 
  daily diffs per mail?
