This is NotGood (TM)

When does this abort happen? When you stop it?

Are you shure that serdisplib uses the same wiring than lcd4linux? (but
I suppose if you'd use the wrong wiring, there would be no output at all)

Are you familiar with gdb? which a debugging session we could get an
idea what causes the above error.
