I'm not shure If I have such a display, I may have a look.

But as far as I know, they just use a USB-to-serial converter (maybe the 
pl2303?) and work with the "standard" serial protocol over USB. So the 
only thing to change would be specifying a different port in the config 
file (/dev/ttyUSB0 or something similar)
