Yes, I think so, too.
But my question was: Is the lower half handled correctly by lcd4linux? I 
doubt so...

No, I need someone who as "optical" access to the display :-)

I just changed the code in CVS. Could you please check out and try? 
(Maybe you have to wait a few hours until the anonymous CVS is in sync 
again)
