The fli4l driver (http://sourceforge.net/projects/lcd or > http://www.kernelconcepts.de/products/lcd.tar.gz) has an option > "a_type=1" to handle this but I don't know to specify this one in > lcd4linux. The bad news is: There is no such option. It's the first time I hear of a HD66712. No for the good news: I can try to add support for this chip. The change in adressing mode seems quite minimalistic. As I don't have such a display, wou'll have to help me by testing and debugging the driver. I don't like to add this code to the "old" lcd4linux driver, but to the current CVS version. This version will be called 0.10.0, the change in version number already indicates that there are big changes going on: In fact, the config file differs very very much. I will download and print the datasheed from the HD66712 first, just to make shure that there are no other changes to the HD44780 driver. In the meantime, you could try to get familiar with the lcd4linux-CVS. If you need assistance with CVS, let me know. bye, Michael -- Michael Reinelt Tel: +43 676 3079941 Geisslergasse 4 Fax: +43 316 692343 A-8045 Graz, Austria e-mail: re...@eu... |
