Well, looks like you found a bug in the X11 driver. It did only affect 
the raster drivers (X11, PNG, ...), all the other drivers worked well. 
That's why I did not notice this bug.

Anyway, thanks for pointing this out! It's fixed in CVS; for 0.9.11 you 
could try to apply the attached patch.
