Waht do you mean with "crahses"? Does the patch not apply? Or does 
lcd4linux crash?

There's a very annoying problem with SourceForge's anonymous CVS: This 
server runs on their backup machines, which will be updatet every 24 
hours. So you may encounter a 24h delay until you see my changes in CVS.
