[lcd4linux] USB with HD44780

Dear lcd4linux-users,

          I was reading some posts about people who are trying to use
          lcd4linux with USB port output and HD44780 displays. But I
          couldŽnt find concrete answers. (and I donŽt want to re-invent
          the wheel).   I find phillips and FTDI chips, read all
          manuals, but I live at the other side of the world and
          components are ridiculously expensive to try with all of
          them.
