Hi Peter, > I just received a new LCD from Matrix Orbital that uses the USB port. They look cool! > I fear that this is going to be a dead end... Is there > something in the kernel I should include? Hmm. Normally these USB displays just consist of a USB-Serial or USB-Parallel converter and a "standard" LCD driver chip. In every case you'd need a kernel driver. I got an "USBLCD" from a guy from germany, but this is just an interface to any HD44780-Display. And I'm going to order an USB display from CwLinux. But none of these will help you. Maybe the guys from lcdproc already have a driver? If you find anything out let me know! bye, Michael -- netWorks Vox: +43 316 698260 Michael Reinelt Fax: +43 316 692343 Geisslergasse 4 GSM: +43 676 3079941 A-8045 Graz, Austria e-mail: re...@eu... |
