Sorry about the long delay in answering you...

I've written my own C++ class for the Powertip LCD(16 columns by 2 rows),
using alot of code from the HDxxx driver from LCD4Linux.  I have attached
them to this email.  Included is the header, source, and a quick
implementation of the class.

I know this code isn't the best, but it works.

If you've had any luck with the direct memory writing problem, please let me
know because the LCD is slowing the entire application down.
