Hi there, I just released lcd4linux-0.96 We hopefully got the annoying bugs in the X11 driver fixed. There's a new command line option '-c key=value', so you can overwrite entries from the config-file (Great for testing!) the gap size can be specified as '-1', which means that lcd4linux should use the size of a pixel as the gap size. If you increase the pixel size (probably with the use of '-c pixel=5+1'), the gap size will increase automagically. But the coolest enhancement is the integration into KDE! I created a sample configuration, lcd4linux can now 'swallow' on the K Panel. Try this! Have a look at README.KDE Now for something different: I would like to have some feedback. If you use lcd4linux, and you are subscribed on this list (otherwise you'd probably miss this message :-), please let me know what you think of it, what features you would like to see in the future, which colors you like most, or anything else. I would like to support other displays. But I have none :-( Therefore I'd need your help! Especially all this parallel-port displays are widely used, I think. Another manufacturer is CrystalFonts, they got this cool penguin on there display. If you have such a display, and want to run lcd4linux with it, please let me know. Believe me - it's very simple to write a new driver, and I will help you as much as I can! bye, Michael -- netWorks Vox: +43 316 692396 Michael Reinelt Fax: +43 316 692343 Geisslergasse 4 GSM: +43 676 3079941 A-8045 Graz, Austria e-mail: re...@eu... |
