[DBus] Error connecting to the dbus session bus: Did not receive a
reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a
reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply
timeout expired, or the network connection was bro
missing 'Display' entry in /etc/lcd4linux.conf!

I don't understand the "Missing Display" message.
The conf reads:

Display HD44780-16x4 {
   Driver  'HD44780'
   Model   'generic'
   UseBusy  1
   Port    '/dev/parports/0'
   Size    '16x4'
   }
