probably its not a problem with the uinput module not loaded, but the device being occupied by another driverß
what's the exact output of lcd4linux -fvvq?
anyway, as I don't own a G15 device, you could probably try to contact the author directly (have a look at the file
header, I hope you'll find his email there)
