The 635 should be supported with latest CVS versions of lcd4linux (If
you need help with CVS, have a look at the wiki, or feel free to ask me)

SOme of the addons (LED's, fan control and so on) should be supported by
the driver, too, although there's no support for GPO's and keypads
within the lcd4linux architecture at the moment.

[lcd4linux] icons size limitation ?

Hello Michael,

What about dropping the limitation of icons size ? All bars and defined =20
chars are limited in dimensions to:

/* icons always are 8 pixels high  */
#define YRES 8

... or am I using outdated code ?

sorry for the long delay and for not answering your previous mails. As
you may have noticed, I became father some weeks ago. And now my son and
my real-life job takes up to 27 hours a day :-)

No, as long as you're using CVS, you should be up to date.

I will remove this limitation. I would do it immediately, but as there's
a new driver in process, the code isn't usable yet (it does not
compile), so I cannot commit the changes at the moment.

I hope i will finish it today. I'll let you know, and I'll appreciate if
you could do some tests on it.

Just take your time, I won't rush. I was just curious about that =20
limitation.
I would be glad to participate in testing. The same with i2c wrapper - I =
=20
have finished my i2c bus, and would like to build pcf8574 glue-logic to =20
connect hitachi display (4x20 with backlight) - would be nice to put on =20
the desk.

I tried to fix this in CVS. I'm not shure if this works... could you
please test the code? (I dont't have a display with YRES other than 8)

The fix was *that* easy: I just removed the above #define, and added a
'extern int YRES'...
