[Lcd4linux-devel] i2c seems have changed with kernel 2.6.5

Hi Xavier, hi all.

I've just upgraded from kernel 2.6.3 to 2.6.5 and plugin_i2c fails to detect the correct path to my sensors.
Now, sensor status is written to temp1_input, temp2_input, ...  so the plugin fails beacuse it tries to open temp_input1, temp_input2,...

I think code shoul be changed in order to detect path and read temp correctly.

Yes !
In fact I'm running 2.6.5 too, but is my power supply is dying, I had to
remove pci cards and my display, so I didn't notice the bug :/

It's fixed with this patch, Michael, you know what you've to do ;)

To problem is know, do all sensors have a temp_input1/temp1_input ? I
didn't find any good method to guess an i2c device is a temp sensor.

But if the problem appears once again, it's possible to force the path
to the sensors (see the doc in the code)

I know it ;). In fact, tha is what I did, and also changed "expression i2c_=
sensors('temp_input2')" to "expression i2c_sensors('temp2_input')", but my =
lcd shows:
"Temp:****=BAC" so I supopsed there should be a problem with the new names.

Now I realize that **** means tha value is too large to fit :)

Here's a patch to make plugin_i2c_sensors work with kernel 2.6.5.

In fact, as Javi said, the files are "temp1_input" instead of
"temp_input1", so autodetection of sysfs and division didn't work.


Please Javi test and Michael, commit ;)
