[Lcd4linux-devel] switch to SVN

Hi there,

I played around with tailor (http://www.darcs.net/DarcsWiki/Tailor) a
bit, and finally got the whole lcd4linux CVS on SourceForge commited to
a private subversion repository, including the whole history. tailor is
really a great tool!

So I plan to switch to Trac's subversion repository real soon now.

If you have any pending patches out there, please check them in (if you
have CVS write access). I will remove all developer write access to
SourceForge's CVS in about a week or so; and then import the whole stuff
into trac.

Those of you who want SVN write access (and I hope all of you who have
had CVS write access want SVN write access :-) have to get Trac access, too.

Sam, could you please explain (again) how this works? I remember
something with 'htpasswd' or similar...

I've been using trac's svn in another project, and I really like it, and
I'm sure you will ike it, too! Reading about patches in the "timeline"
is really cool, believe me!

Everybody who needs Trac and/or SSH acces must send me the result of
the following command :

  htpasswd2 -n -s yourlogin

(replace yourlogin by whatever you want your login to be)

If you do not have the htpasswd2 binary, you can use the following
form : https://projects.nekeme.net/genpass.php to get one.

Then I'll add you to the SVN and/or Trac groups for LCD4Linux. For the
moment, every user creation/change must be done by me, but I'll soon
make that available to Michael on the Trac administration page.

If needed, I can also apply specific rights to a particular part of
the lcd4linux SVN Repos, stuff like that.

I want to state that the wiki is and will be public/anonymous (as long
as the spamming does not evolve too much :-(

an account/password will be necessary for SVN write access only.
