I'm aware that LCD4linux is broken on Gentoo from your comments, but there is little I can do. As a personal thought I don't think the current SVN version is fit for mainstream as some features are still not complete. This particular project has a slow evolution process, as far as stable versions are concerned. I'm just working on a little USB-LCD. Because of "If it's a /real/ USB display, you want to use libusb, which makes things a bit more complex. Please drop us an email <mailto:lcd...@li...> in this case..." I wrote to you... I'll start writing a new driver in the next days. Hardware is already working. Is there something special what i need to look after? Please tell me. I'm using libusb. The drv_USBHUB.c looks nice to be modified for my device. Thats the file i'll start working on. About my LCD: It's a HD44780 (2x16) behind a microcontroller. It's like the USB2LCD, but with a cheaper IC, and only 20pins :-) From it's 2kb memory there are already 2040 bytes in use, so it will be complicated to support larger lcd's with 2 controllers. But we'll see... ;-) Stefan Mönch |

The only thing to do in tuesday is to get in on EQTD. It will RISE up next days. There will be more than 100% appreciation within the first few hours, so do it fast . With oil markets retreating, big traders are turning to gold, driving it to levels never before seen. EQTD has made an survey of staggering proportions related to a recent survey on one of their gold ownership. The inside scoop is that we will be looking at a quadrupling of stock price once the public takes notice: CHICAGO, ILLINOIS-(MARKETWIRE)-Oct 23, 2006 - Equal trading is pleased to announce survey results which have far exceeded expectations. The results from our British Columbia property show 58,000 ounce potential. Plans are already underway for pressing development. We look forward to this extraordinary discovery bringing value to our sharer. At 600$ an ounce this discovery is worth 34.8 mil$. With 865mil shares outstanding, this would give us a book value of 0.04 (current price is under 0.01$). Don't miss this one. The value and the opportunity are there. This days is the lowest price it can be. It's high time to buy in! The profitable time to invest! Good PR will help you to sell it with higher price later. |

The great anticipations are made. The increase is up to 70% last time. (MXXR) is the worthwhile deal and those who knows it is making money. The drilling results of this highly capable oil partnership exceeded all its expectations. One time this information hits the road there will be no stopping this one. Right now it's approximately 0.022 but we are thinking it to triple. Once the news is made and the PR gets into full brandish. Don't lose moment and miss out. We counsel you to buy today. The key is getting in early and you have little time. We are told that Monday is the day it will detonate. Take your place before that happens. |

Hi Luis, hi list, you wrote to this list recently[1] that the latest lcd4linux release does not compile with GCC-4, while in its current SVN/CVS state it does. In that message you also propose a new bugfix release. What is the state on that? With gcc-4 being standard in more and more distributions, this seems to become a real problem. In Gentoo Linux, gcc-4 is stable for x86 for some weeks now. That makes lcd4linux from source not installable anymore. So, what's the status on a new release, or at least a bugfix release? Hi, On Tuesday 03 October 2006 01:25, Nikos Mavrogiannopoulos wrote: > After this patch I could use something like: > Layout 'Default','Default2','Default3','Default4' This is really cool. May i repeat my ideas regarding this issue? This is the first big step into something i think would be really useful and you are already so close, it's just a tiny step to make it working: - Have multiple layout sections (you did that) - start with the first one in the layout list (you also did this) - have "switch" events in each layout to switch to another layout e.g. // to switch to Layout "Default2" after 10 seconds: switch timer 10 "Default2" // or (just a different syntax) after 10 "Default2" // to switch to Layout "Default3" after button 'down' was pressed: switch key 'down' 'pressed' "Default3" // or (again just a different syntax) onkey 'down' 'pressed' "Default3" A layout may then have at most one timer switch and as many key switches as you want. This would even allow for the most complex menus. You'd have a Layout for each state the menu can be in. And with a press of a key you can switch to another layout. And if you don't select something in the menu you can make it return to the main screen after some timeout. And you can build any type of menu, e.g. A set of tabs in the top display line. Or a menu item in each line with one being highlighted. You could basically do every kind of menu and the most complex displays .... this would be so cool .... Till -- Dr.Ing. Anyway, I won't apply your patch directly, because it's too big. could you please create a small patch for your CF632 model? I'll apply this one immediately... For your 'big' patch with changing layouts, I first want to understand it. I've seen that you added a 'clear' method to all drivers. I did not do so in the past, because I think it's not necessary. All drivers read from the 'generic' framebuffer, so it should be sufficient to clear the framebuffer. bye, Michael -- Michael Reinelt <re...@eu...> http://home.pages.at/reinelt GPG-Key 0xDF13BA50 ICQ #288386781 |

In our appliance, we need some way to access the buttons near our lcd display. Luckily, we found that in drv_HD_LCM162_timer, there is already some checking done fore keypresses. Everybody who needs Trac and/or SSH acces must send me the result of the following command : htpasswd2 -n -s yourlogin (replace yourlogin by whatever you want your login to be) If you do not have the htpasswd2 binary, you can use the following form : https://projects.nekeme.net/genpass.php to get one. Then I'll add you to the SVN and/or Trac groups for LCD4Linux. For the moment, every user creation/change must be done by me, but I'll soon make that available to Michael on the Trac administration page. If needed, I can also apply specific rights to a particular part of the lcd4linux SVN Repos, stuff like that. Regards, - Sam PS: I'll try to dive into the Trac antispam stuff this week. -- Maxime Petazzoni (http://www.bulix.org) -- gone crazy, back soon. leave message. |

Hi there, I played around with tailor (http://www.darcs.net/DarcsWiki/Tailor) a bit, and finally got the whole lcd4linux CVS on SourceForge commited to a private subversion repository, including the whole history. tailor is really a great tool! So I plan to switch to Trac's subversion repository real soon now. If you have any pending patches out there, please check them in (if you have CVS write access). I will remove all developer write access to SourceForge's CVS in about a week or so; and then import the whole stuff into trac. Those of you who want SVN write access (and I hope all of you who have had CVS write access want SVN write access :-) have to get Trac access, too. Sam, could you please explain (again) how this works? I remember something with 'htpasswd' or similar... I've been using trac's svn in another project, and I really like it, and I'm sure you will ike it, too! Reading about patches in the "timeline" is really cool, believe me! bye, Michael -- Michael Reinelt <re...@eu...> http://home.pages.at/reinelt GPG-Key 0xDF13BA50 ICQ #288386781 |

When reload is 0 (zero), the image will be loaded only once, and on update only 'visible' and 'inverted' will influence the display. When 'reload' evaluates to 1, the image will be read again. I also changed lots of internal stuff (switched the whole image widget to the new 'properties' data structure), so there may be lots of bugs :-( As I don't have a graphical display ready for testing, this was kind of 'blind hacking', so any tests and feedback would be greatly appreciated! bye, Michael -- Michael Reinelt <re...@eu...> http://home.pages.at/reinelt GPG-Key 0xDF13BA50 ICQ #288386781 |
