Now, each i2c chip gets its own directory in the sysfs
/sys/devices tree, not in /proc

All sysfs values are fixed point numbers. To get the
true value of some of the values, you should divide by
a specified value.

    Thanks for the hint!

    This is already fixed in CVS, the next version 0.10.0 of
    lcd4linux will support kernel 2.6
