Hi. I've tried to install and get l4a working numerous times.

I followed those instructions mentioned in the other person's ticket also but never got an app compiled.

Actually I have now installed Android Studio and used the SDK manager to install NDK through the studio.

I saw a note somewhere that says L4A now uses Android 6.0 image, which is good news.

Is it possible to make the L4W installation fit with an up to date Java (1.3.0_131) and with android studio with it's paths?

that would be really nice, that it just bolts onto an installation? I think those instructions are a bit outdated and it's not easy to get the tools only installer. Actually there is no tools folder in the up to date SDK

I really want to get into android development through laz. ....

Dittos on the above request. I have downloaded L4A 4 times and uninstalled it as much in frustration. It makes great Android size interface programs - that run on windows only. I can't see how to generate an android program with it. You would thing that it would generate android programs out of the box. I guess you have to be a compiler installation guru to get something like this to do what it is supposed to do.

    Hi Paul,
What does it happen when you compile the example via Lazarus? Does it compile into an ".so" file? If yes, you need then to run the build script to get the apk file.

The build script is located at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\laz4android\examples\androidlcl\android

In the case that you do not have an "so" file, you need to fix project folders on Lazarus.

    Have fun,
    JP.
