All of a sudden, Launchy has stopped working. The process is running, but nothing happens when I try Win-Space (the hotkey I defined) or Alt-Space. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck. I read in another post where some users were experiencing the same behavior, but Launchy appeared to be off screen, i.e. typing the hotkey and typing blindly would work). In my case, however, if Launchy is off screen, it's never getting the focus. More likely, it's just never coming out of its hidden state. I rely on Launch a great deal, so any help would be greatly appreciated. (BTW, it might be nice to provide a shortcut that would automatically bring Launch out of hiding, in case the hotkey is forgotten or something.)

Hmm, very strange.
Edit c:\documents and settings\username\application data\Launchy\launchy.ini with WordPad and set the pos_x and pos_y values to 0 and make sure the hotkey section looks like this (this is for alt+space):
[Hotkey]
mod_key=1
vkey=32

Hi -- same exact symptoms here. I tried your suggested fix, Josh, to no avail. Any other suggestions?

Try closing Launchy, (with ctrl+alt+del), deleting c:\documents and settings\username\application data\Launchy\launchy.ini, and then starting up again.

I have the EXACT same problem, and I have no launchy.ini file in all of my drives. Searched with the windows search, navigated manually to try to get to it (the launchy directory does not exist in application data), and using the path string in the run dialog. I even installed launchy in a VMWare virtual machine, where it works fine, but still no launchy.ini anywhere. Hidden and system folders are shown in folder options. Please help, anyone, if you have any idea what I could try.

I encountered this issue and discovered that Google Desktop search was stopping Launchy from working.
I shut down Google Desktop Search
I shut down Launchy
I re-started Launchy then Google Desktop Search and bingo, my Win-Space hot key started to work again.

if you use google desktop, there seems to be a problem during startup. it has something to do with how google desktop disables the hotkey for launchy.

I had this problem, and found that it was due to that I had changed my multi-monitor configuration. The Launchy window was on a part of a desktop not covered by a monitor. The problem was solved by reverting to a previous multi-monitor setting, and then moving the launchy window to the main monitor.

Hi.
1) Add familier problem, while the process was running/function
(using the ALT-Space and writing 'blindly' something, was giving results)
Still,I COULD NOT SEE Launchy at all - re-installation did not help as well.
This caused after I change the multi-screen setup (add a 2nd and external screen to my Laptop).
2) Problem solved by: Editing the launchy.ini file and changing the value of always in center parameter from false to true
Change this param: alwayscenter=true
Cheers,
