have to have a google search feature? I'm guessing you
always have Firefox open.. just use a keyword http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/smart-keywords.html
(or it's built in search bar).

performance hit to my computer. I have a gig of RAM, but FF
and the computer in general become sluggish when I leave FF
open. So, no.
Besides which, as the flip side of your argument -- yes,
every application <i>does</i> have to have a Google search
feature these days. Why? Because that's what users want and
expect. Launchy is by far the best launcher app I've
discovered, and my hat is off to Josh Karlin for his great
work, but I don't think that's any reason not to make the
program even better. It'd be a relatively simple feature to
implement, wouldn't have to add any interface clutter, and
would make life easier for myself and, I'd bet, many other
users. And after all, that last <i>is</i> what this program
is about.
