I'll often use launchy to jump to shortcutted favourite
folders, and this works fine, but it would be great if
I could launchy to these folders from within an
applications own "save" etc dialogue box.
Launchy has saved huge amounts of time in general XP
use, but navigating within these save/open dialogues
are still very time consuming... consider a secondary
hotkey, or a "alt double-tap space" for example for the
in application context launchy.
On a slightly related subject, could launchy ever
incorporate the database backend of a freeware (open
source?) program like "locate32" (which allows for
instant file/folder searches, but lacks the learning
capabilities, global hotkey and decent user interface
of launchy, and doesn't prioritise programs/shortcuts
to the top of the list)
Kind regards

Interesting comments. There is a program, I believe it's
called 'dirkey', that will allow you to change folders
within dialogs such as open/save. I have to admit, it would
be pretty cool to use launchy to do it instead as dirkey
requires that you memorize hotkeys. I'll look into it, but
make no promises.
As for locate32.. hmm.. I'm not sure that a database
backend is going to be fast enough for Launchy. Launchy
requires that results pop up as fast as the user can type.
Thanks for the comments, this is good stuff for the future.
