hello

(Ubuntu Dapper and Xgl...so damn cool!)

One thing that i miss from windows is Launchy

so i was wondering if this could be ported to linux please

that would make me so happy :D

thnx

    Thanks :)

I've thought about it from time to time, but Launchy is
really tied to the windows api. Linux has alternatives..
katapult and gnome launch box. gnome launch box seems dead
but katapult shows promise. Of course, you would have to
run kubuntu if you were to use katapult.

Anyway, I doubt that I will get around to porting it anytime
soon. At least not until kubuntu will run properly on my t42 :p

damn....o well, i suppose i'll have to live without launchy :'(

i prefer gnome to kde so i'll have to live without a launchy
alternative (that is as good as launchy...)

Try using Katapult. Great application too :-)

Apologies. If you're using gnome (for whatever reason...
j/k don't flame me) try the deskbar applet. Not as pretty
    but it works.

    Ubuntu is cool

There is a deskbar applet in Ubuntu with the standard Ubuntu installation.
It has the functionality of Launchy and more.
