(WinXP) I have several shortcuts (*.lnk) to be run by Launchy. They have short names like "cdd.lnk", but contain a description in the comment field, like "Open D:\down". If I type cdd in Launchy, it only shows "cdd" in the full description, and the path to the lnk file in the dropdown. It would be much better if Launchy showed the shortcut comment.
I hope this is clear, if not I can upload some screenshots.
I "promote" achim66's request, and I have an additional suggestion. I generally input all shortcuts by hand now ("Runner"; I turned off indexing capabilities long ago, such as for Firefox/IE bookmarks). In the past, I found that some URL shortcuts, for reasons I can't explain, seemed to bubble up to the top for almost any search, and I couldn't easily locate them (they could have been browser bookmarks, or .url files) to remove them or modify their properties. It would have been nice to have either a BalloonTip on prolonged mouse hover, or a button in Launchy that lets one view extended information where the shortcut is located, and the source of the "hit" (in other words, what makes "xyz" trigger a hit for an obscure 3-year old Amazon.com bookmark with no apparent connection - no tag, etc. matching that - versus a program called "XYZ.exe"), whether it's in the "Comments" field of a Windows XP .url file, or "Description" field of a Firefox bookmark...
