Ability to pass parameters to shortcuts

Right now, if I want to pass a parameter to a "shortcut" in Launchy, I have to type the shortcut (e.g. "fog" for launching Fogbugz, our issue tracker, in IE) and then press <TAB> and then the case number. This seems counter intuitive and cumbersome.
Why can't I just type in "fog (case no.)" and then press ENTER? Why can't Launchy figure out that "fog" is my shortcut name, and anything beyond that is an argument (like with a batch file) and give me the ability to evaluate and use those arguments ?
Would this sorted by adding an option to make space behave like tab, or would the |> separator need to go as well?
