Good afternoon
Launchy.exe is a cool product, thanks a lot!
Unfortunately it has a problem: if the Hotkey to display Launchy does not work, then there is no
way to display Launchy to check the Configuration.
It would be great if Launchy get visible if I start Launchy.exe is alreay running and I start Launchy.exe a 2nd time.
Thanks a lot in advance,
kind regards,
Thomas

Note: I'd add that it would be nice to have a Command line modifier, e.g."/b" that would launch, if needed the "tsr" of launchy.exe, and then bring up the launchy bar. This could be used in the standard "RUN" line, or stored in a shortcut so that a user could do the standard things with a WINDOWS shortcut file.
e.g. "run launchy /b" --> Launch launchy (if needed) and then biring up the launchy interactive command bar.

No, I think Launchy is pretty bad from a usability standpoint.
1. There's no excuse for this tiny little applet to eat up 14mb of RAM. That's just bad programming.
2. Why does Launchy HAVE to run in resident mode? I just want to launch the interface from a shortcut or programmatically. If I want to hotkey launch it, I'll set up a hotkey on a desktop icon. Eating up god knows how many megs of ram to reinvent the hotkey monitoring routine is just plain stupid.
3. Why waste time with skinning? Launchy should follow the look and feel of the rest of the Windows system by relying on the built-in forms API. Once again, the developer is wasting time and system resources reinventing something that doesn't need to be reinvented.
4. Launchy doesn't need to stay resident to do it's cataloging or whatever. Just look up shortcuts and apps on-the-fly and don't worry about the rest of the junk. Rely on the system index if you have to. But, once again, don't waste time and system resources reinventing yet ANOTHER feature that doesn't need it.
This app just plain sucks.

Hi anonymous nobody.
I am just a user of Launchy and have no relation to it. Two points:
- I scorn your anonymous posting - especially because you
probably never have spent any productive second to support
an Open Source Project. Why don't you fix the 'bad' programming?
- Your note is not related to my topic therefore I would
appreciate if an Admin can delete your stuff.
Kind regards,
Thomas
