The instant calculator functionality is very handy, but I have become addicted to the power of Google Calculator, so this is of very little use to me:

You can type "54 inches + 2 feet in cm", for instance, and it does the math and then converts for you. This is very useful in doing calculations with units like volts, amps, and watts. Thanks to Google Suggest, Firefox 2 now acts like an "instant Google calculator" if you type into the search box:

But it would be SO GREAT if Launchy could do the same thing. Then I won't need to open any browser application to do this kind of math. Here's a standalone interface for Google Calculator to get you started:

I too am a big fan of the google calculator but had not considered actually interacting with it before.. this is very cool! I'll take a look at it.
