Tasky? switch tasks via launchy

Hi!

I normally have like 15-20 open applications, including many visual studios, documents, etc.

It would be great using launchy to switch tasks, by starting to write the title of the task, and instead of searching the task in the taskbar or pressing many alt-tabs, with few keystrokes we're there!

Tasky or TasKey :-)

Hi,

For Launchy 1.x you should search for a plugin called Go-Y.

For Launchy 2.1 I created a remake of this plugin in Python:
http://pylaunchy.sourceforge.net/docs/pygoy.html
You need to install PyLaunchy in order to have it.

I would also recommend using TaskSwitchXP which is a turbo version of the classic Alt+Tab manager.

1. For PyGo-Y do I have to install python?

2. TaskSwitchXP doesn't support 'search' by writing the task's name, right? and, is it fast?

1. Please read the "Installing" and the FAQ pages in http://pylaunchy.sourceforge.net . They should cover most questions.

2. TaskSwitchXP doesn't support search, it's just better Alt+Tab manager. I haven't seen any performance issues with it.

I was hoping to find a solution without any supplemental installations.

I have just created a plugin inspired by Go-Y, which I call tasky, but instead of having to type Go TAB, window titles will just show up along with shortcuts etc. in the search result. Check it out at https://sourceforge.net/projects/tasky-launchy/
