Using Launchy 2.5.0 installed on Ubuntu 12.04 x64 with Unity, Launchy loses focus after a second once it finds results. I have a workaround, but it would be nice to know if it is a bug or a misconfiguration on my machine.

    To reproduce:

    1. Activate Launchy

    2. Type anything that brings up results

    3. After a second, Launchy loses focus

If you type something with no results, Launchy maintains focus. Suggestion list auto-open appears to be the culprit; changing the auto-open delay in settings to something very high allows Launchy to maintain focus long enough to finish typing.

Manually opening the suggestion list by pressing down arrow works fine so long as "Hide Launchy when it loses focus" is off. With that option on, opening the suggestion manually hides Launchy usually, but sometimes works fine. I cannot tell what makes the difference; it seems random. That problem may or may not be related to auto-open losing focus.

Summary: if Launchy vanishes in the midst of results retrieval on Ubuntu/Unity:

    • Set auto-open delay to a very high value

    • Turn off "Hide Launchy when it loses focus"

Having a similar problem in Launchy 2.6 Beta 1 on Linux Mint 15. If I set a long delay on the auto-open as suggested above, I can launch the file by hitting enter, but once I touch the down arrow, Launchy stops responding to input from the keyboard. I then either hace click with the mouse or use Alt+Space to re-focus (which unfortunately also closes the drop-down menu).

I have the same exact problem with Launchy 2.5.0 in Linux Mint 17.3 Cinnamon 64-bit.

I somewhat fixed it by putting a "0 ms" delay in the "Auto open delay" option.
