On my PC running Win 7 x64, Launchy constantly crashes.

What information should I gather (crash logs, etc.) to best troubleshoot these crashes?

    Thanks!

I could send you my latest build to check if it still happens.
Update: latest windows installation can downloaded from here

Attempting to run this on Windows 10 generated the following error:
This application failed to start because it could not find or load the Qt platform plugin "windows".
Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Had the same error since yesterday. 2.6 beta nor 2.7 did the trick (actually 2.7 gave me the error indicated by Chris in Win7x64).

Did these steps and now it works alright:

    1. Reinstall 2.5 as normal, for all users (after this it still crashes)
    2. Reinstall 2.5 as normal but only for the current user (still crashes).
    3. Reinstall 2.5 as portable, now it works!

At least that worked for me. Might work with 2.6 beta or 2.7, but as I got it working I'm not going to mess with it anymore.

EDIT: after two days Launchy started crashing again :/

The above problems can usually be resolved by closing Launchy, deleting the contents of the folder that contains its settings, and then starting Launchy again. Note that this will delete your settings and history, so you'll have to set up any special folder monitoring rules and so on.

    Windows Vista and later:
    C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Launchy

    Windows XP and earlier:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\Application Data\Launchy

So far it's working for me Joe. Thanks for the heads up !

Could this be a problem with a corrupted database or wrong file permissions? It always seemed to crash while updating the catalog.
