I have had this problem with Windows 10 and now a newly installed upgrade to windows 11 (fully up to date).
I have WhatsApp for Desktop installed. I have no idea where the executable is or what it's called, though I assume it should start with "Whatsapp". Nevertheless, I have a manually installed Whatsapp shortcut (lnk) on my desktop, created by dragging the Whatsapp icon onto the desktop, starting from the Windows list of installed apps. It's name label is, not surprisingly, "WhatsApp" and it does successfully open the app. I also took a copy of that .lnk file and pasted it into a personal folder that I call "990 FindMeDocs"; this shortcut is labelled "WhatsApp.lnk". I used this same FindMeDocs folder idea when using windows 10 as I found that sometimes Launchy would not find the app or document I wanted to be able to open easily or when I wanted a specific document to be found without having to catalogue many other files (such as if they were in the same folder).

The same FindMeDocs folder contains 2 other shortcuts to files I similarly want Launchy to find; for example, one is a Word document called "Addresses". The Addresses file is successfully found by Launch (the other file is irrelevant but is not an issue).

I have re catalogued multiple times but Launchy will not find Whatsapp. It returns a zero (0) value in the Launch field showing files found (see attached image), with no relevant file in the found list at the bottom (all it shows is the Network and Sharing Centre, for some strange reason).

I have added two catalogue items so as to index all my installed apps from where I store their shortcuts: D:\My Docs\001 My Groups\000 My Apps
D:\My Docs\990 FindMeDocs.

I cannot find any way to force Launchy to find Whatsapp.

What am I doing wrong or how can I resolve this, any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
