I am running a win2k SP4 machine inside VMware workstation 6.0.2
The virtual machine has 1 processor and 512meg of RAM.
I have been using Launchy 1.25 for many months on this machine, and it runs perfectly. I have just upgraded to Launchy 2.0 and it has crashed 3 times in 20 minutes. It crashes within 5 minutes of being loaded. It crashes while in the background, the window is not visible, I am not interacting with it in any way at all. The first thing I know about the crash is the error message appears.
I have Launchy 2.0 installed on a similar win2k virtual machine where it is quite stable.
The crash appears to be triggered by having the program TestComplete 5.15 running:
Since I use this program a lot closing it is not an option.
When it crashes I get the error message:
**********
The instruction at "0x77fcd989" referenced memory at "0x00780065". The memory could not be "written".
**********
I tell windows to debug the program in a new instance of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, and when the IDE has loaded I get the error message:
**********
Unhandled exception at 0x77fcd989 in Launchy.exe: 0xC0000005: Access violation writing location 0x00780065.
**********
selecting break and I get the call stack:

The only settings I had changed in Launchy 2.0 were:
* the program was set to appear in the centre of the window
* the shortcut key to launch the program was changed to WinKey + Backspace
I have now uninstalled Launchy 2.0 and reinstalled version 1.25

Try deleting the plugins (.dll files in plugins directory) and seeing if removing any particular one stops Launchy from crashing.
