#105 Red pixels in icons become transparent
Have seen this happening with two programms, both have icons with no built-in transparency, 32x32, 16 colors. Take a look at the screenshot to see what happens.

My system is XP SP2, nVidia graphics, DirectX 9.

This happens to me, too. My system is Windows 2000 SP4, ATI MOBILITY FireGL 5200 graphics. Irfanview (www.irfanview.com) is one of the affected programs: the red-roadkill-thing icon is transparent.
