Hi,
Java applications in Pocket PC environments have to be
launched by means of shortcut files, wich inherit the
same icon as the Java CDC VM used. They also are slow
at starting up no matter how simple, and there's no
way to show a progress bar or a splash while this
happens, leaving the user wondering if the application
will finally come up. Also, there's currently no
installation for java apps but manually copying the
files directly to the device's storage, while native
apps are run in the PC with the device connected and
integrate with ActiveSync to do the job. I've managed
a custom solution using Rapi Tools, ant and shell
scripts but you can imagine it not very "professional".
So, i'd be nice to have a pocket pc version of
launch4j, at least to do the same it does for PC
environments, but it'd also be greate to build not
just the launcher but also the installer.
I was just wishing.
Thanks

Sounds interesting! Unfortunately I don't have any of those
around. But if such a PC uses Windows CE it should be possible.
