I've been using Launch4j for one of my Java projects very succesfully, but yesterday a someone complained that after they uninstalled and reinstalled Java (the new version is 1.8.0_60), when they double-click on the .exe file, nothing happens. It's the same exe file that was generated by Launch4j and worked flawlessly before. I made a new one with the latest version of Launch4j and sent it t them and the result was the same. They are using Windows 7 SP1. The executable jar file runs fine as before. Trying to run the exe as admininstrator does not help. If the exe file didn't see Java, it would show the error message with the download link. Can anyone suggest a way to troubleshoot this?
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Please ask the user to run the application with --l4j-debug option and send the output launch4j.log file.
(this may require administrative privileges to write the file)
